Candidate for Palmdale City Council

Jeremiah Farrell

District 3

Faith. Freedom. Family. Fiscal Responsibility. Palmdale is my home. I'm running to restore honorable leadership, protect our freedoms, strengthen our families, stop wasting taxpayer money, and put Palmdale first.

Why I'm Running

Palmdale Needs Change

Financial Mismanagement. Unwise Decisions. Not Prioritizing Palmdale. Not Respecting or Understanding Citizens' Rights. Political Grandstanding.

I love Palmdale. This is my home. But loving our city doesn't mean ignoring the problems at City Hall. Our residents deserve to know how decisions are being made, where their money is going, and whether their elected officials are actually putting Palmdale first.

Did You Know?

01

Your Taxes

Did you know the Palmdale City Council approved a measure on the ballot that eventually gave our city the highest sales tax of any city in California and the second highest in all of America?

02

Your Vote

Did you know they took away your right to vote for mayor?

03

Your Tax Dollars

Did you know they just approved spending millions of your tax dollars, unnecessarily, to a business outside of Palmdale when they could have used a local company?

04

City Spending

Did you know the City Council allows the City Manager to approve purchases and contracts up to $125,000 each—potentially allowing millions of your tax dollars to be spent without specific City Council approval or giving citizens an opportunity to weigh in beforehand?

05

The $100,000 Logo

Did you know a recent City Manager spent $100,000 on a city logo from an out-of-state company that the city never even used?

06

Political Grandstanding

Did you know that many of the past City Council meetings have been used by certain council members to platform themselves instead of doing what is best for Palmdale?

What I Stand For

Faith

Bringing Jesus Christ-centered values back to Palmdale and allowing those values to shape how I serve, lead, and make decisions.

Freedom

Stopping government overreach and standing up for our constitutionally protected rights.

Family

Encouraging and facilitating the traditional family structure and the holistic health of the most important unit in our society.

Fiscal Responsibility

Lowering taxes, cutting waste, and stopping the flow of local dollars to people and businesses in other cities.

What I Intend to Do About It

01

Become an Honorable and Trustworthy Entity

Become an honorable and trustworthy entity that puts what is best for Palmdale first.

  • Bring our morals and Christian virtues back.
  • Fight to keep tax dollars local, making local businesses the priority with city spending.
02

Stop Wasting Your Money

Stop wasting your money with more unnecessary taxes and unwise spending.

  • Audit city spending to reduce wasteful spending and keep the city accountable.
  • Look into repealing Measure PD (the measure that gave us the highest sales tax in California).
  • Explore options to bring unincorporated land into our city limits to potentially open up new land for development.
03

Stop Wasting Your Time

Stop wasting your time by actively working to make the city run more efficiently

  • Limit the political self-promotion and grandstanding that can dominate Council meetings.
  • Bring in efficiency consultants to help the city do more with less.
04

Stop Wasting Your Peace

Stop wasting your peace by making Palmdale a healthier and safer city for residents as well as a friendlier place for businesses.

  • Address crime and vagrancy as well as social and spiritual deterioration.
  • Encourage local churches to serve and develop the family and community.
  • Seek to start a Palmdale Police Department to assist the LASD to bring down local crime and vagrancy, actively patrol in a way that deters threats, and build healthy relationships between citizens and law enforcement.
  • Election Dates

    • Election Day is November 3, but you can vote by mail earlier.
    • All active registered voters will be mailed a ballot. County election officials will begin mailing ballots no later than October 5.
    • Ballot Drop Boxes open starting October 6, with Vote Centers available beginning October 24 through Election Day, November 3.
